Friday again! I am linking up with Jeanette again to share out week in instagram pics...let's get rolling!
On Fridays I get to play with my friend Julia. Last Friday we played a thrilling game of Candy Land. I will admit that I lost... badly. It's a good thing that I am not a sore loser...and that she is so darn cute.
I went to a bridal shower for my beautiful friend Amber on Saturday...
Have I mentioned how much I love them?!
As I mentioned (just a few times), last Tuesday was Chris and my 13th anniversary. I worked non-stop to finish Chris' present in time.
By the way, did I mention that our anniversary was this week? We went to Carmel on Monday to celebrate...
It was a beautiful day.
We had a quiet lunch together and there was even a heart shaped walnut in my salad...

We even got to stop and see my brother at work...

Chris and I finished the day at Highlands Inn where we went on our honeymoon thirteen years ago...

Speaking of swim lessons, Landon got out of the pool on Wednesday and immediately started rubbing his eyes saying they were burning. By the time we got home (which is less than a 5 minute drive) he was screaming because of the pain. I tried flushing his eyes out with water, having him sit in a bath and opening his eyes in the water and nothing worked. I finally put drops of milk in his eyes after reading that it restores the eyes to their natural pH balance after the effects of the chlorine. The milk stopped the screaming and he was calm again. Yesterday, I tried to put sunscreen on his face and he screamed again saying that his skin was burning. I had noticed his face was a little pink but didn't think anything of it. I now think he had a first degree chemical burn from the chlorine. Chris was off to CVS to get some aloe but apparently they don't sell bottled Aloe Vera anymore. He returned with an aloe plant.
I have to say, God knew what He was doing when he created this plant. Why do we always try to do things our own way? Adding dyes to make it green and other ingredients to make it better? The aloe plant worked immediately, it wasn't sticky and I knew I wasn't putting anything that was going to further aggravate Landon's sensitive skin.
Landon loves his crocs. I don't know if it is the ease of putting them on and off, the bright colors or the comfort factor. All I know is that if he has his choice he will wear his crocs. I think he loved them a little too much...

We got him two new pairs at the croc outlet so this time he can split the wear between the two. He LOVES them!
Well, that was our week! I hope you all have a great weekend. Nine days left of school until summer! Woohoo!
