Disneyland!!

We had a good trip to Disneyland last week! We went for three days and the kids had a great time. Ashlyn and Landon are both tall enough now to ride most of the rides. We were hoping that Landon would be tall enough because most of the big rides have a height requirement of 40 inches and he was 41 inches before we left. Disneyland sometimes pads their height indicators to make sure people aren't putting lifts in their kids shoes and stuff so they can make it on the rides. He made it on the rides though! They went on Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain and many others! Of course we love all the rides at Disneyland (Peter Pan is my favorite ride!)

One of the things we really enjoyed was the castle lighting. It lit up like snow and icicles and was so pretty! They followed it later in the evening with a fireworks show. The kids had passed out by that time but the adults enjoyed it.

One of the other fun aspects of this trip was that Memejo and Dommy (Dominic) got to go with us! I haven't been to Disneyland with Dommy since I was in 7th grade! The kids were SO looking forward to sharing the Disney experience with him and we were so afraid he wasn't going to be able to join us. He was working the Santa Barbara and LA fires right up until the day before we left for the trip! Talk about cutting it close! God really worked it out so that everything fell into place. Our family had the flu the week before, Dommy was at the fires - who knew what was next! God is awesome and worked everything out so that we could have a great trip!!
