Tahoe during quarantine wasn't too bad as far as destinations go. Most people wore masks, on the beach people stayed 6 feet away & on the trail we covered our faces any times someone passed & we couldn't safely distance ourselves. As nervous as it made me to eat out at a restaurant during a pandemic I felt as though the restaurants themselves went out of their way to make sure that the environment was clean & every host, server & busboy wore masks & gloves. While I don't think that I will be frequenting many restaurants until the virus gets under control I felt like we were safe while we were there. It may look a little different but we are able to enjoy our trip away from home & still feel like we were safe from the virus that has plagued our world in the last six months.
In all the years that we have gone to Tahoe we have never gone to look at the sunset over the lake. Generally, we are camping & have never wanted to pass up an evening around the campfire. This time we ventured down to Kings Beach to watch the sun slip below the mountains. It was totally worth the trip...
I swear that his profile has hardly changed since he was a baby. Actually, now that I think about it his profile is the same as that grainy black & white image that they gave us after our ultrasound appointment over 15 years ago.
The smoke made for some epic color changes...
