We all woke up early the next day. Morning sunlight streaming through thin tent walls doesn't really allow for sleeping in…neither do the annoying blue jays squawking in the trees.
Kevin quickly got the fire going and the kids huddled around the warmth trying to fight off the slight chill in the air.
There were remnants from the previous day's storm surrounding us but thankfully there would be no more rain.
Chris got started with breakfast and soon the smell of bacon was wafting throughout the campsite. Camping plus bacon…yes, please!!
Landon is always good for a laugh...
Ashlyn wrapped herself up like an eskimo and drank hot chocolate to stay warm.
I made pancakes to go along with the bacon and soon every one was quietly enjoying their breakfast…
These boys… soon after we arrived at the campsite they found the axes and began chopping anything and everything they could find. Note: Landon's shirt was covered in mud from riding his bike through the puddles. 
When they weren't getting in trouble for playing with the axes they could usually be found riding their bikes around the campsite.
Someone else did a little biking and I caught him even though he tried to avoid the camera...
Across from our campsite were some boulders and the girls spent a good deal of time climbing on them.
I can't get over how much Ashlyn has grown in the last year. My green-eyed beauty…
These girls are pretty beautiful too...
