We did a little boys vs. girls movie night. The boys saw Million Dollar Arm and they both raved about it. Chris said it was the best movie he's seen in a long time.
Ashlyn didn't really want to sit through an entire movie about baseball so she and I saw Maleficent. Loved it! Growing up, Sleeping Beauty was always my favorite princess movie and to see the back story on Maleficent was a really cool perspective.
Also, it has been mentioned, more than once, that Ashlyn is my twin. The matching glasses were unintentional but only support that opinion even more.

I love that Chris' job is flexible and often allows him to work from home. I also love that when my plans for the day are cancelled at the last minute, and I end up having a free morning, he takes me out for breakfast. Seriously, breakfast dates are totally underrated. 
Landon finished up baseball at the beginning of June and his team went undefeated! Overall, I'd say he had an awesome first season. He's already talking about next year!
As I mentioned previously, this guy had a birthday and I got to spend the whole day with him, the one my soul loves…
During the last week of school I messed up my back pretty badly. I could barely move and ended up laid up in bed on pain killers and muscle relaxers. One day, Landon crawled into bed with me to keep me company. He is the sweetest… I think I'll keep him. 
Chris and I got out for a much needed date night and saw an amazing movie. Most book to movie adaptations don't do the book any justice but this one was pretty stellar. I loved it and, true to form, I cried throughout the movie. So so good!

and we had so much fun that we continued the game with Landon's friend and his little brother.

We have spent a great deal of time at the pool this year. The scent of sunscreen and chlorine have been a constant presence.
Until recently, it hasn't really been warm enough for me to actually get in the water but I ended up jumping in after a day of triple digit temps. The kids and I had races, Ashlyn worked on some of her strokes, and we had cannonball wars.
We have spent a great deal of time at the pool this year. The scent of sunscreen and chlorine have been a constant presence.
