Landon had been requesting a family game night for a few days. Unfortunately, we always had something going on that kept us all from sitting down together. When we finally found a free night Chris broke out Skip-Bo.

If you are like me you've probably never heard of Skip-Bo. I'd never heard of or played the game before the Johnsons introduced it to me. Now, anytime I think of Skip-Bo I am reminded of the first trip I ever took with Chris' family. It was Thanksgiving and we went down to Taft to spend the holiday with Chris' Donpa and Big Mama.
Chris and Craig had been playing Skip-Bo at their grandparent's house since they were kids and they both took it pretty seriously. That year, Chris taught me how to play the game while we were there and we all had a lot of laughs while crowded around his grandparent's dining room table.
Classic Landon face…

The tables turned, as they tend to do very quickly in Skip-Bo, and Ashlyn ended up winning the game. She was not shy about her feelings on the subject as she broke out in a victory dance…

and Landon gave me a pretend sad face over his loss.

Family, fun, smiles, laughs and more good memories made...
