Giants game...

Sometimes I think last minute plans are the best kind.  I got a text from Theresa one Friday night telling me that they had two extra tickets to the Giants game on Sunday and did we want to come with them.  I quickly contacted Memejo and arranged to have her come up and stay with Ashlyn and Landon and confirmed that, heck, yes - we wanted to go to the game!

There are a number of reasons why I am glad we didn't pass up that game.  First, of course, was the fact that we got to see Jason, Theresa and Brenden again!  I'd never pass up an opportunity to see them!

Secondly, the AMAZING seats!!!  We were twelve rows from the field on the first base line and I could clearly see the blades of grass!

The Giants played the Diamondbacks so Chris was happy that he got to wear the Cody Ross "Boss" shirt that I got him for Christmas in 2010…right before Ross was traded.

This boy…I love him.  He sat and watched the game, played with his trains, watched PBS Kids on the iPad and ate snacks from his Cars lunchbox.  He didn't complain once.  Not even when the weirdo drunk lady next to us asked him for high-fives.  
Of course, there was also the back to back grand slams by Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner.  Yeah, that's right, I was there.  No big deal.  

We cheered our heads off, sang and danced to Journey songs, got carded even though we are far above the legal age (you look GOOD, T!  And I will totally vouch for you and let them know I've known you since 1987!), snuck back to our seats without tickets, and ate good food.  I left with a scratchy throat and a sunburned nose but it was totally worth it.  Awesome game!  Awesome friends!

And a Giants win didn't hurt either!  8-4!
