gold bust or dust...

We are in that crazy end-of-school-chaos that occurs during the last couple weeks of every school year.  Class plays, parties, final art classes... it's exhausting.

Ashlyn's class just finished learning about the Gold Rush.  The fourth grade classes got to have an entire day of Gold Rush themed activities like candle making, corn husk doll making, and leather punching.  They had so much fun on the day that they had "no school work at all!".

In addition to the Gold Rush day they also performed in the fourth grade play, "Gold Bust or Dust".  They were encouraged to wear their best "western wear" and Ashlyn didn't hesitate to grab her rhinestone cowgirl hat to wear during the performance.  I wasn't the least bit surprised.  That's my Ashlyn.

Chris and I also noticed that Ashlyn's dance skills seemed to shine through...
