Ashlyn and Landon made some sample pictures for me...
We started out by drawing the seahorses in pencil and then tracing over them in Sharpie. Then the kids colored in the seahorses with crayon.
We were creating a crayon resist with crayon and watercolor so after we covered the entire seahorse in crayon and added some white crayon waves we were ready for the watercolor...
The kids loved the project. Their pictures were so beautiful!
I had a great time teaching the kids in Landon's class this year. I was always nervous about the lessons and whether they would enjoy them but the kids seemed to like them all. They did a great job!
