We've had a pretty eventful few weeks. Here is a small look at life, instagram style!
Chris and I recently had a free Saturday to ourselves. No kids. No plans. Just us....and then the bathroom sink started leaking. So we spent a good portion of our romantic day together trying to fix a forty year old sink faucet that probably should have been replaced twenty years ago. Thank you, landlords.
Why is it that everything tends to fall apart at the same time?! Seriously!! This was the third home repair issue which started when the twenty two year old water heater went out and had to be replaced. Then the kitchen sink backed up. Okay, this one may or may not have been my fault. Let's just say if you decide to dissolve biodegradable packing peanuts in water make sure they are actually biodegradable BEFORE you fill the sink (and the drain) with them. The plumber thought this was hysterical btw. Me... not so much.
Chris and I did get to enjoy a quiet dinner together after all the home fixes. Totally worth it.
Speaking of Chris...I found this outfit in the men's department at Target. I immediately asked Chris if he wanted me to get it for him for Easter. For some reason he wasn't thrilled with my find. Can't imagine why...it may have something to do with the fact that I wouldn't be caught dead in "faded salmon colored" pants so I'm sure he feels the same way!
Landon had his last basketball game of the year. He improved so much this year. I'm really proud of him. Plus he looks super cute in his uniform. Um... I mean, he looks so grown up and athletic in his uniform. Yeah, that's it...
Chris came and sat next to me on the couch one night to watch some tv. For some reason someone wasn't too happy about it. Three really is a crowd! If looks could kill...
While riding Landon's scooter last week I whacked my heel with the stupid scooter. Ouch! Thankfully, it looks worse that it felt.
This was the sunrise we were blessed with on our way to school...
Made me think of Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Poor Landon developed a severe ear infection this week. I hate when my kids are sick and hurting and there is nothing I can do to help them. It makes me feel so helpless. Thank God for medicine!
I will leave you with a little glimpse of spring from my walk with Basil. So glad to be done with grey and dreary winter!
Have a wonderful weekend!
