a week with Memejo, Part 2

Before the disorder of the move we had some more fun with Memejo.

We visited the pumpkin patch one day after school.

I love pumpkin patches.  I love all the different varieties of pumpkins and bright bold colors.  I would love to get one of each kind!PhotobucketPhotobucket
The Cinderella pumpkins are my favorite...although this multicolored one is pretty cool too.

This particular pumpkin patch has a petting zoo.

The kids loved the animals.  I think they liked the pigs the most...

I love how the pigs rolled over on their sides so the kids could rub their bellies.  Photobucket
This little guy likes shoes and was very interested in mine!

He apparently also likes to take a bath.

Yeah, the piglets were really cute right up until the point when the guy running the pumpkin patch told us that in a couple of months the pigs would be around 200 pounds and well...let's just say they won't be laying down on the ground to have their stomachs rubbed.  That was the end of the petting zoo for me.

Speaking of zoo, while Memejo was visiting we had a zoo of our own.  Apart from the normal hawks, turkey vultures, turkeys and rabbits we were visited by a lone frog...

and the night that Memejo left we were packing the car and a snake slithered out RIGHT WHERE WE WERE STANDING!!  He didn't last long.  I spared you the picture because I thought it was gross.  Just saying.

Anyway, we had a great visit to the pumpkin patch.  The kids can't wait to carve their pumpkins.  One more Memejo post to come.  Right now kids are (supposed to be) brushing their teeth and there are bedtime stories to be read.  So I will leave you with this picture.  This was my attempt at a cute sibling picture.  I get one with her eyes closed and the other crossing his eyes.  Gotta love kids.

Oh....and I am soo happy you don't live near wild kingdom anymore. I couldn't take much more of all the critters that you shared living space with.
