Hello, June. At least I think that's you...

Living in California has its perks.  We have gorgeous weather in the summer and no harsh winters.  We are a short drive to the beach or the mountains.  We don't have hurricanes or tornadoes (usually).

This year is proving to be a little bit different.  Here we are in June, getting closer to the last day of school, and when you look at the sky it is filled with dark clouds and rain.  This morning I watched the storm clouds roll in, the sky growing darker by the minute.  The National Weather Service has actually issued a warning for the upcoming storm this weekend!  It is snowing in the mountains and people are required to put on chains...IN JUNE!

I have decided that I am going to call this month June-uary because it is much more fitting of the weather as of late.  My kids are supposed to start swim lessons in a few weeks.  I actually feel sorry for them because I know I wouldn't want to get into a pool when it is freezing outside.
