Happy Father's Day

The kids got so excited about giving Chris their Father's Day present.  They helped come up with the idea and couldn't wait to see his face when he opened it.

They got him a "night out with us" kit.  My kids love to spend time with their daddy.  I watch the way Ashlyn looks at Chris with adoration and how Landon begs to go with him whenever he leaves the house.  They love to just be with him. So what better gift to give a father than special time with his children?!

I have been reminded recently about how important fathers are in our lives.  As little girls we look to our fathers as our protectors.  They show us how we are to be loved.  To little boys fathers are heroes.  They are strong and brave and they want to be just like them.  Fathers are our examples, our authority figure and our physical example of how God the Father loves His children.  Chris is a great dad.  He loves both of his kids unconditionally.  I pray that God will bless the example that he is setting for our children.
