sand harbor...

This year we set aside a whole day for Sand Harbor.  I think it is one of the most stunning spots on the lake.

Landon & Olivia took the raft out on an adventure.
Chris stayed in the shade as much as possible...
& Ashlyn got to do one of her favorite things...paddle boarding!
I took a turn on the boat with Landon & we pulled Olivia out to catch up with Ashlyn...

Landon has a bit of a fear of water.  He did allow Ashlyn to paddle him out on the paddle board.  They paddle out to the rocks & Ashlyn tried to get Landon to take the leap & jump into the water.

She showed him how it was done while he stood by, terrified.

As they later told us, there was a family in rafts near the rock that were cheering him on.  We watched on from shore as he timidly walked towards the end of the rock & then...
A couple of Chris' black & white shots...
I will never get over the brilliance of Lake Tahoe & its crystal clear waters.  As Olivia wisely said, "I think God sprinkled a little bit extra when He created Tahoe." It really is humbling to stand on the shore looking out across the sparkling water & think the God spoke all of this into existence & still thought to make me.

Just breathe & take it all in...
