After taking in the beauty of Mansion Beach on our hike we decided that we would just spend the day there & we quickly snagged a spot before the crowds made their way down to the lake.

The boys skipped rocks...

while the girls paddled out...
waaaaaay out.

One thing we all got on this trip, that we weren't really looking for, is sunburns. Olivia already had a really solid base tan so she was almost completely spared but poor Chris ended up with second degree burns on his arms & feet despite staying in the shade the majority of the time. It made it pretty painful for him to put on socks & shoes later in the week. We all used sunscreen but apparently not enough.

Anyway, we all had a good time before we got burned.

One of the smartest things we did this year was bring our own rafts. Olivia had a great idea & purchased some rafts at work so that we could save some money. Every year we rent a kayak & a paddle board which costs a lot for very little time. This way, the kids were able to enjoy the raft as long as they wanted.

Back at the campsite Chris made his famous camp fajitas.

He always does such an incredible job with the food when we are camping. Everyone enjoys his meals & they never disappoint.
