Tahoe 2017, Sand Harbor...

Okay, are these clouds not incredible?!  Real, fluffy white clouds.  We would soon find that those clouds were bringing thunderstorms with them but nothing could stop us from hitting the beach.

Landon was elated to find out that our friends, the Jensen's, were already at Sand Harbor & that he finally had another a boy to play with!

Finding treasures along the shore...

We rented a kayak for the girls & if you look closely you can see Ashlyn & Olivia paddling out, through the crowds, in an orange kayak.
I have seen pictures of Sand Harbor over the years & have always wanted to go.  The rock formations are so unique & beautiful.  Ashlyn had so much fun jumping off of the boulders.

I, personally, needed more time at Sand Harbor.  Next time we plan to spend the whole day among the rocky coves.

We drove to camp with the sound of raindrops drumming on the roof of the truck with the occasional clap of thunder.  Mountain storms are quick to arrive & almost as quick to pass.  By the time we got back to the campsite the clouds had parted & everything was dry.  Just in time for Chris to whip up his famous campsite fajitas!
