Chris has logged quite a few business trips in the first couple months of the year. Whenever he is gone his presence is greatly missed. Our family just doesn't feel complete. But then he returns and all is right with the world.
Classic Ashlyn…
In February Ashlyn and I were in San Jose for the day and we decided to stop by Nonnie & Gamp's house. They lived right next door and were like my grandparents when I was growing up. This picture just floods me with so many memories. This is how I remember them. Nonnie as the perfect Italian grandma, always making sure everyone is well fed. Gamp is always making sure everything is going well in your life.
He still calls me "Peanut". To this day it's by far one of my favorite nicknames, right up there with my dad calling me "Monkey".
I took Ashlyn to Ulta one day and she was like a kid in a candy store looking at all the makeup. Forever my girly girl.
I was blessed to spend a weekend in Oregon with my beautiful friend, Lauren. Coming from California where we are dealing with drought conditions it was so refreshing to see everything so lush and green. We went on a hike and it is clear there is no shortage of water here.
It was an amazing weekend and went by entirely too fast!!
Chris recently made a trip to L.A. and sent me a picture of one of the most gorgeous sunsets I have ever seen.
A rare date night!
Yeah, so this happened. Apparently Humpty Dumpty and his friends had a suicide pact. (Chris would like me to point out, for the record, that this is the garage fridge and our normal fridge has much more food in it besides eggs and water.)
I got to got to spend the day with this kid on his field trip to Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley.
Silhouettes and sunsets...
When did she get so grown up?
Basil and her daddy taking selfies at the soccer field...
Chris and I had the privilege of seeing two of my favorite bands, Bleachers and Night Terrors of 1927, at the Fillmore in San Francisco with our friends, Brooks and Amanda.
The Fillmore is an amazing venue. It is incredibly intimate and the energy level of the crowd was so infectious. We danced and sang along the whole night.
Killer night! This is us "...standing on the overpass screaming at the cars, "Hey, I wanna get better!"
Happy Friday all!
