twinkle toes...
Soccer season started for Landon last month. This year he jumped up into into the U-10 age bracket and the games have gotten a lot more exciting! The boys are still getting used to the bigger field, larger goals and having a goal keeper.

After a few pointers, the game was off and running.
This year Landon attempted to get the brightest shoes he could find. Not that this is different from any other year. When it comes to shoes Landon is nothing if not consistent…just give him the brightest pair of Nike's you can find and he will be happy.
Landon has been practicing quite a bit and has gotten a lot better at dribbling and maintaining control of the ball. During this particular game he earned the name "twinkle toes" due to a sweet move where he popped the ball up and over the feet of three opposing players, skipped over them himself and continued dribbling down the field. Ashlyn, who is not the biggest fan of soccer or watching soccer games even stopped and said, "Did you see that?! That was awesome!"

And then he got a chance to be goalie.

Don't let the concerned look on his face fool you; he's not afraid. He concentrates hard, watches the ball and will get in there and grab it when it's needed. He did a great job and I am really proud of him.
Looking forward to a thrilling season of soccer!
