camping, s'mores and s'more pictures...

Sorry for the cheesy title.  I couldn't resist!

One of my favorite parts of camping is s'mores!  When it comes to s'mores we know how to do it right! Seriously, check out this spread...

Chris even found gluten free graham crackers so I could have s'mores too!  Gluten free graham crackers or as Kevin calls them "gluten free dog biscuits".

Speaking of Kevin, he set out on a mission to make the perfect s'more for his wife.  Taking the time to carefully roast the marshmallows to perfection...

I will admit that these next three pics are probably my favorite from the entire camping trip.  They make me smile every time I see them...

While eating a giant bag full of cherries I showed Ashlyn the fine art of pit-spitting.  We then had a cherry-pit-spitting contest.

And that was our 2013 camping trip.  It was dirty.  We had good weather and bad.  We had a climbing tree and a rope swing.  We saw beautiful sunsets.  We saw bats flying over head at night and rabbits scurrying into the brush beneath our feet.  We ate delicious food.  We collected treasures.  We walked sandy beaches.  We told stories.  And we laughed.  Hard.  That is one of the things that I love about camping.  It forces families to work together and it bonds people like nothing else.

Thank you, Kevin, Christy, Jack, Charlotte and Julia for an amazing vacation.  Here's to next year's trip! :)
