There was a chill in the air that could only be cured by a camp fire, hot chocolate and coffee.
Forever frozen, I bundled up appropriately.
We had a great breakfast spread to choose from...eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee cake, donuts, cereals...it was good!
The only thing that remained were some crumbs and a few powdered donut mustaches on their satisfied faces.
We took a little drive...
and ended up having lunch at a popular little place in Moss Landing.
Kevin ordered their famous chioppino which beat Bobby Flay in a throw down. I believe the verdict was that the chioppino was good...but maybe not worth the high cost, massive line, and lack of seats.
This particular day was quite a bit colder than the previous day's warmth and abundant sunshine. Despite the overcast sky and chilly temps we ventured down to the beach.
The kids stripped down to their bathing suits and braved the frigid waters...
while the adults bundled up against the strong winds.
You may think I am exaggerating about the cold since I am seriously always freezing but I have valid proof! You know it was REALLY cold if even Chris was bundled up!
Thankfully, the cold didn't stop the kids from having fun and finding treasures along the beach.
They did eventually succumb to the cold and asked if we could please leave.
Still more camping to come!
