I know I have been a bit absent recently. I'll be completely honest, last week was not a good week. I was down, discouraged and unmotivated.
The thing is, it's my own fault. Sometimes I am going through life thinking that I am fully trusting in God and His perfect timing only to discover that what I am really doing is expecting God to conform to the way I want things to go. Like my ways are higher than God's... how prideful is that?! All it takes is for me to take my eyes off of Him for a brief moment and sin creeps in. After speaking with a few people who gave me good counsel I realized I was not waiting on God or trusting in Him. God is in control of all things. Thankfully, my pride and foolishness can't change Him or His plan.
Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
I have to remember to lay my concerns and burdens at His feet and trust Him completely with the outcome of every situation. Let me reassure you...I am doing much better this week.
God is good.
Always.
No matter what.

Landon started fall soccer over a month ago (I know...I am a horrible mom and haven't taken ANY pictures until this past weekend)
Landon seriously, LOVES soccer. Actually, he loves almost any sport that involves kicking, throwing, passing, or hitting a ball.
