Chris helped me do a bit of the sanding and he was great about helping me put the cabinet doors back on after they were dry.
I really love how the white opened up the kitchen. It feels so much cleaner now (even if it still has the original disgusting tile and grout that originally came with the house aside from the one portion where the tile must have cracked because they replaced it with ...COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TILE! Talk about an OCD nightmare!)
After painting for ten hours a day I was pretty exhausted by the end of the week. Chris told me he was not going to let me paint for more than a half day on Friday so he could take me into the city for dinner. What a sweet guy, right?!
We rode BART into the city, walked along The Embarcadero checking out the waterfront and the piers. We stopped and watched the bush man for a while and avoided all the silver painted guys. Seriously, why are there so many of those guys?! They creep me out!
We ended up at the best seafood place in San Francisco!

I had been dreaming about their lobster bisque ever since Chris mentioned going to Scomas for dinner. He asked me if I was going to take a picture of it before I ate it but I was already fully enjoying it so no, no picture. I did take a picture of my lemon tart dessert (as you can see I went low-cal for this meal) which rivaled the lobster bisque in my dreams.
Oh so good!
That was my week in a paint-fumed nut shell! I hope you had a good one too. Happy Monday!
