super instafriday

Busy summer days have kept me from my instafriday posts.  I now have three weeks worth of catch up pictures.  That's a lot of pictures, people!  Prepare yourselves and let's get started, shall we? (Don't say I didn't warn you!)

Ashlyn and I babysat a friend's three little girls.  Ashlyn had such a great time and was a huge help.  She is such a "little mommy".  

When we were driving home she asked me, "Mom can we please have another baby?" ummmm....good luck with that.


This picture cracks me up.  Landon went to sports camp a few weeks ago and at the end of the day he took off his nametag and stuck it on his eyebrows.

It's really not that funny unless you know a little back story from my middle school days.  There was a boy in my science class who thought it might be a good idea to put duct tape on his eyebrows.  He thought it was a good idea right up until the point where he had to rip the tape off which resulted in the complete removal of his eyebrows!  Quite the visual, isn't it?!

I have been trying really hard to keep up with school work for the kids.  We have missed a lot of days but summer is for fun, right?  

My wonderful friend gave me a bunch of supplies to help Landon with math.  Thank you, Theresa!  He loves the counting bears!


I finished the kitchen makeover but here are some behind the scenes as I was trying to complete the project...

While the kids were on an adventure with Memejo Ashlyn sent me a text message from Memejo's phone.  It was so sweet that I teared up a little.  I know I am a wuss...

Almost every morning this summer Landon has come into our room and jumped into bed with me.  
He gives Chris and me massages so we will be relaxed when we get up...

I have to admit it is one of my favorite times of the day

The kids wanted to rollerblade down to the park this week.  Landon decided to carry his because he isn't very sure of himself on the skates.  Ashlyn thought she could make it to the park but apparently needed someone to lean on...

They spent most of the time skating on the basketball court and falling onto the grass because they don't know how to use the breaks.  They had a great time though.

A great truth from God's Word...

One night when we were eating out I was having Landon read different signs.  When I pointed at one sign Landon saw this one and read it instead.  He said, "that one says evil!"

Chris found a recipe for spring rolls in Sunset magazine and decided to make them for dinner.  They were delicious!  The kids loved them! 

I have to say that I am so happy that my kids aren't picky and will eat just about anything.

We took a leisurely walk one night after dinner.  The kids love riding their bikes down the path and we don't have to worry about cars.  

Landon and I played catch one night until our hands were sore.  I was impressed at how good he is at catching and throwing.

I was talking with a friend this week and she mentioned that sometimes she just needs a hug.  I can understand that feeling.  Have you ever had a day when you just needed a hug?  If so, share the love and find someone and give them a giant hug today.
