nothing new...

Hey all!  I know I have been severely lacking in the post department lately.  There really just isn't much going on with us outside of the ordinary.  Ordinary is not very exciting.  There is nothing bad about ordinary but it just isn't news worthy and certainly doesn't inspire an exciting post.

My computer problems have been fixed by way of a new computer.  It was time.  My old computer was not fitting my needs, the hard drive was full and cluttered and clutter drives me C-R-A-Z-Y!

Basil has been my other patient lately.  I swear we have had nothing but high maintenance dogs.  Aside from having severe separation anxiety she also has really sensitive skin and now has some sort of constant itch which causes her to shake back and forth, as dogs do, about 50 times a day.  We have changed her food, washed her with hypoallergenic soap, brushed her....the list goes on.  I am always hesitant to take her to the vet because for some reason those people think we are the Rockefellers and we can never get out of there for less than $800.

Last week I noticed that she had a spot of blood on top of her head and I wiped it off but couldn't find a cut.  I thought maybe the fur was too dense on top of her head for me to see the cut.  Well, it turns out that she has been shaking so hard that one of her ears split open.  I have been bandaging her ear and it almost healed...and then she went into a marathon shaking session and broke it open again.  So I decided to pull out the big guns...

Yep,  I (medical) taped her ear to her head.  She was not too pleased with this and kept looking at me with her sad puppy dog eyes.

Of course,...maybe that was just her normal expression.

Anyway, life is good and ordinary.
