finally friday!

Did this short week seem really long to anyone else?  I think the older I get the more I enjoy routine and the more I feel "out of sorts" when my routine is interrupted.

Here is our last two weeks in phone pics because we were out of town last week and so I missed last week's post...


Basil loves to cuddle on the couch at night...


Ashlyn has invented a new sport.  Instead of speed skating she is "read-skating".  I know, I know, way cheesy.

Jenny said that when Chris and Craig were kids they used to stick their faces in the very same sign every time they drove down to Bakersfield.

The kids have multicultural night coming up at school and they each had to make something to represent their cultures.  Ashlyn's was a coat of arms and she decided to include her Italian and Native American heritage..

Basil got her new "Thundershirt".  She seems to like it.  Not sure if it is working yet but we will see...


I love Pinterest and have been finding all kinds of inspiring ideas.  One idea I found was the "waterfall braid" and I decided to give it a try on Ashlyn.  It is so pretty!


Speaking of hair, I rarely straighten mine anymore but I decided to try curling my hair with my flat iron.  If only I had enough time to do this every morning!
