Thankfully, you can't catch our virus through your computer

Well, our family has had quite the week! Chris has been in and out of the emergency room twice with major breathing problems. He couldn't catch his breath and was given two breathing treatments, had chest x-rays, and an EKG. Thankfully, the x-rays and EKG came back normal. He is now being tested for Valley Fever. Valley Fever is something that is not normally on most doctor's radars here in the Bay Area because it is typically found in the valley (hence, "Valley" Fever). So, Chris had his blood drawn and it can take up to 13 days for the results to come back. Thankfully, with his prescription of rest and relaxation he has been doing much better. He is still not 100% but he's about 70%.

Ashlyn and Landon have had their own battle. About a week ago Landon had a fever for about five days. After we got home from the ER on Friday night I went in to check on the kids before bed as I do every night. I noticed that Ashlyn felt really warm. Her temp was 103.3!! Good grief! When it rains it pours! So I gave her Motrin and put her in a cold bath. She still has a fever but it comes and goes.

The Lord has truly sustained throughout this whole ordeal. Although I have gotten very little sleep I have been able to get up in the morning with more energy than I thought possible. I am able to take care of my family and keep track of who needs medicine at what time.

Just when we thought things were starting to clear up - I got the flu and am being treated for strep throat! So basically our house is under quarantine and lockdown! Thankfully, this happened just as Chris was starting to feel better.
