Slow camp mornings are second only to evenings around the campfire. Huddling around the fire, catching the first stars as they appear across the sky, roasting marshmallows & enjoying good conversation. Truly unsurpassed.
What made these campfires particularly special is the fact that Dominic & Remmy came by every night to hang out with us & eat some of Chris' dinner. It was such a joy to see him. We live a couple of hours apart & we get together a decent amount but to see him every day for three days was the best.
We heard something in the bushes & someone jokingly mentioned needing night vision goggles. This prompted Dominic to get up & run to his truck. Wouldn't you know it, he returned with night vision goggles...
Top night, indeed.
