Ashlyn took a look at the tree from Pepper's perspective too...
As is our tradition, the kids each got new ornaments that reflect the past year. Landon got a Fortnite ornament because I'm pretty sure he spent just about as much time playing the video game as he did playing basketball this year...
We also got him an ornament from Chris Dudley Basketball Camp to reflect his first year at camp among "the lucky few"...
Ashlyn got a guitar ornament since she finally got the opportunity to take guitar lessons this year & is loving it!
She also got new driver ornament, for obvious reasons...
There's a particular ornament that Pepper is fond of & we had to place it out of her reach. Chris' fluffy reindeer ornament was her favorite last year & she remembered it immediately.
When she wasn't hunting out "her" ornament she was cuddling with her favorite boy...
I love decorating the Christmas tree & being reminded of Christmases from long ago with each unique ornament. Our tree is bursting with ornaments but I know one day, not too far in the future, the kids will take their ornaments & the tree won't be as full. I love knowing that one day when they are decorating their own trees they will have those memories from their ornaments to remind them of home.
Chris finished off the tree with his Santa tree topper which sadly we decided will soon be retiring from his tree topping duties. He can still fulfill his Santa duties as a decoration but he no longer fits on the top of the tree & generally ends up tipping over or falling off. So now we are in the market for a new tree topper...
Ashlyn is taking a photo class this year & got some great shots of our time decorating...
She even got a picture of me :)
