The mountains are so incredible. This year they still had quite a bit of snow left on them and were all that much more beautiful.
We set up camp & then headed over to Squaw Valley for dinner. The lifts were already closed down for the day, as well as all the stores, so we got to explore the resort a bit without crowds of people.

When your fourteen year old daughter will still hold your hand in public. Warms this mama's heart.

When we got back to the site the kids & I went down to the creek. With all the rain that we got this year it was quite a bit different from how it looked during our first year camping at Sugar Pine. This year the creek was a deep rushing river. The rocky banks that the kids had walked on are now hidden beneath the swirling white water.

It still provided a cool spot to hang out, throw rocks & climb across fallen trees.

More camping to come!
