When they aren't driving each other crazy, they actually get along pretty well.
Basil has been dragging lately. Quite literally, actually. Until recently, she was walking with me three times a week. After her back toe nails started bleeding we realized she was dragging her back legs whenever she walked. I had noticed for a while that she was slipping and that her right hind leg would fall asleep when she would lay down. After some tests, the vet determined that she has fluid around her knees and that her spinal cord is compressing the nerves that control her hind legs. So for now she is on pain meds and anti-inflammatories. It's sad to see her struggle but she still has her playful personality despite the pain.
