Resurrection Sunday, part 2...

Chris created a Kona Coffee Creme Brûlée for dessert this year.  Vanilla Bean was his go-to flavor but after Christy requested Dark Chocolate Creme Brûlée last year and Kona Coffee this year I think he is eager to try his hand at some new flavors.

The kids patiently waited as Chris fired the individual ramekins filled with rich custard.

When it was time to crack into the hard shell this year there was no hesitation.  The kids knew what was in store when they dug in and took their first bite.

Landon liked his so much that he didn't want to leave any behind.

After dessert we played and talked and laughed well into the night.  Charlotte played a copying game with Chris and he tried to keep her on her toes by putting himself in weird and crazy positions.

I am feeling very grateful for family and friends and the Reason we celebrated this day.  I am thankful for hospitality, a sense of belonging and love.  As one of my favorite bloggers so perfectly described, "We came together to celebrate an empty tomb and a risen Savior.  I'm so thankful there is room at His table for me too."
