beautiful girl...

Ashlyn let me take some pictures of her last week while I was practicing my lighting assignment.  As I was reviewing the photos I could not get over how beautiful she is, and that has absolutely nothing to do with any photography skills I may have.

I know I'm her mom so I may be biased but I think she is a true beauty, inside and out.  She is funny, compassionate, caring, and she loves the Lord.

It's easy for me to get wrapped up in the cares of the world and forget the things that really matter.  Life can be like that.  Even parenthood can be like that sometimes.  I think this quote sums it up perfectly…

"Sometimes when I look at other people and their lives and everything they've accomplished, and I haven't, and then I look at one of my kids and I know not a single day has been wasted."

Well said.  I strive to give thanks always and for everything.
