last day of school, way behind...

Okay, so I am totally aware that I am WAY behind on posts.  I guess you could say we are just enjoying summer way too much.  That and the fact that I am thoroughly enjoying sleeping in which consequently leaves less hours in the day to get things done.

As far as catch up goes, here are some pictures from the last day of school...

This year I was able to make it to both Ashlyn and Landon's end of the year parties.  It helped that they were on different days.  Ashlyn's class chose a breakfast party with waffles, pancakes, syrup, whipped cream, strawberries, bacon...there was much more, but you get the idea.

We love, love, LOVED Ashlyn's teacher this year.  She is one of those teachers that years later you look back on and realize what an incredible impact they have had on your life.  I have a few teachers like that from my own childhood and I am so thankful that now Ashlyn does too.


Landon's teacher was pretty amazing as well.  He got to have her for first and second grade.  She was instrumental in Landon's growth from a Kindergartener to an almost third grader who can read, write neatly (sometimes), and understands math a whole lot more than he did.

She has been at the elementary school for eighteen years and is moving away over the summer.  We are very sad to see her go.
