fourth of July...

We celebrated Fourth of July by enjoying our traditional fun-fest with the Hulls.  It was hot and sweaty but we beat the heat by swimming all day.  There was talking, laughing, cooking, swimming, and firework gazing.

Ashlyn seems to have caught the swimming bug.  She was practicing her dives, strokes and flip turns all day long.  It may be too late for swim team this year but I think we may have a swimmer next year.

Landon got in on the diving competition...

I love this girl's feistiness!

She told Memejo, "Memejo, if you do that you will make me very sad..." and shook her finger like she knew who was boss.  Theresa let her know who was really the boss.

Chris threw Ashlyn and Landon higher than ever and they just kept coming back for more!







Theresa made a S'mores dessert that she found on Pinterest and within minutes the kids were covered in chocolate.

While he was eating his S'more Landon caught his first glimpse of fireworks...

After the sun had set we got the kids cleaned up and hiked up the hill to watch the fireworks.

We always look forward to our celebrations with the Hulls.  We don't really need a holiday as an excuse to get together - every time we get together with them is like a celebration in itself.
