I'm sorry, but this is totally against the rules!
Early last week Ashlyn asked me if she could use the watercolors and paint something. After a while she came running in and said "Mom! Look at my beautiful creation!" Indeed...
Ummmmm....dude, you've got a little something right there...
Last week Landon got the puzzles out and he and Ashlyn put together this map of the United States...
...and then Basil thought it was a good place to sit. Nothing like sitting on top of the world!
We had really warm weather on Saturday. Chris decided to take advantage of the nice day by taking Landon to the driving range...
It was also a perfect kind of day for a walk with my girl.
Have I mentioned lately that my husband is AWESOME?! He grilled my favorite rosemary chicken and asparagus for dinner. Seriously, he is amazing.
On April 30th we remembered Craig. I can't believe it's been a whole year since he went home to be with the Lord but I thank God for all of the great memories we have of him.
Ashlyn won a goldfish at the school carnival. She named him Jetski Squirt Swimington...
...and then five days later the inevitable happened. Thanks a lot, school carnival. Ashlyn took it really well. At first she wanted to bury him/her (?) in the backyard. Thankfully, we were able to veto that idea...for some reason I don't think she would have taken it as well if Basil dug up her fish and ate it.
This is what killing time at the optometrist looks like. Landon said, "look mom, I'm an old man!"
Speaking of the optometrist, dilated eyes means having to wear your brother's sunglasses. It also means a Baskin Robbins break while you are waiting for the drops to take affect!
I love this boy. So sweet.
Tomorrow our family will be walking in the National Brain Tumor Society 5K walk! Photos to come!
Until then, happy Friday, Friends!
