At night I usually grab a blanket and curl up on the couch. I know I won't be alone for very long. Landon or Basil will see me with my blanket and one or both of them will quickly come and join me. This particular night, Landon beat Basil to the couch and was very cuddly giving me lots of kisses...
Of course, on THIS night, they decided to "dog pile" on dad...literally.
Last weekend we decided to finally tackle cleaning out the garage. It was a little intimidating and I was hoping it was normal for it to look WAY worse before it got better. Thankfully, it is MUCH better now. You can actually see the floor!
Ashlyn finished constructing her California Mission over the weekend. She and Memejo went and visited Mission San Carlos Borromeo del rio Carmelo, took lots of pictures, and then Ashlyn built her own model. She did a great job!
Basil was sick last week and had to have an emergency vet visit. She always looks so sad and pathetic whenever we go to the vet. Thankfully, she is fine now. Nothing a few pills and a little peanut butter can't cure!
It is no secret that Landon often struggles with his homework. This past week, he completed his writing assignment entitled "How would you make the world a better place" with no help and when he came and showed it to me I was so proud...
It says, "What I would do is let there be no drugs. They make people die. That makes me sad. Drugs do not help people like medicine does. That's what I would do if I helped the world be a better place." I pray that he holds on to that conviction as he gets older.
I finally got the 50mm lens that I've wanted for so long!! It came in a box filled with bubble wrap! Two times the fun! I can't wait to get out there and use my new lens!
This is how I found Basil the other night...like we don't already have enough people in our family fighting over the iPad!
Ashlyn is a night owl. We pray together and tuck her into bed at 8:00 and usually around 9:40 she can still be heard busily moving around in her room. A few nights ago when I went to check on her I discovered what she had been doing in her room that night...
She passed the time by tiling her wall with Justin Bieber posters that she cut out of her 2012 calendar. Can you say "Bieber Fever"??
