Today Is a New Day...

Have you ever had a week you would just as soon forget?  That was last week for me.  Chris was on a work trip and everything that could go wrong...did.  I had a little freak out (OK...maybe it was a BIG freak out) and with a lot of prayer and a lot of help from some wonderful friends we got through the week.  I was so thankful because my children were BEYOND good last week.  I think God knew I couldn't handle one more thing so He helped them to be extra helpful, on their best behavior and super sweet to me.  Although I was emotionally exhausted, my heart was full watching them do little things around the house to help me and gave me extra hugs.

To thank them for being so good I took them to a movie on Saturday.  I considered bringing my camera into the theater but thought it probably wouldn't go over very well if I was snapping pictures during the movie.  So, cell phone camera to the rescue!

And if you get a chance, go check out Megamind!  Hilarious...we loved it.

I also got a chance to have dinner with some of my best friends on Friday night.  We kicked back in a bookstore with a great kids section while we waited for them to arrive...
I didn't realize how much I missed my friends until I saw them that night and seeing them was just what I needed after a stressful week

After church on Sunday the kids and I took advantage of the rainy day and cuddled up under warm quilts, ate cookies fresh from the oven, drank hot chocolate (or tea in my case) and we watched a movie

A Christmas movie!

Yes, I know it is November but I am never opposed to starting the fun of the holidays a little early!  And cuddling with my babies is right where I needed to be.  Carefree and loved.  Because some days are hard but God gives us the strength to keep going...and for that and so many other things I am thankful.

Have a great week!

I am also a proud mama because you went totally out of your comfort zone BIG TIME this past week and was able to do 'with flying colors' what you thought you couldn't!!
Congratulations! You did marvelously!
