Wow, thirty-one. I have reflected a lot on what I have learned in "all of my years". This year felt as though I got to start over. To see the world through new eyes. Everything seems much more clear now. I am embracing my kids and all the time I get to spend with them. Because I realize now that I am out of the fog that once my kids are grown up I don't want to look back and think, "I wish I would have played with them more." Every moment with them is special in it's own way. Whether it is loving them, singing with them, hugging them, reading to them, playing with them, exploring with them, or even disciplining them and taking the opportunity to guide their hearts. Every one of those occasions is a time that God allowed me to have with them.
Some playtime moments....

and our explorations...
I have also realized that I don't care as much about what other people think of me. Of course I still have my moments. But ultimately, if I am pleasing to God, then who else matters?
I am extremely blessed. I have a loving husband, two healthy and beautiful kids and a great life. Sure, there are difficult times but we rely on the Lord and He gets us through.
On the night of my birthday we went to a Giants game! What a great way to celebrate! My brother and his girlfriend, Alicia, met us there. I was WAY excited! I think Chris and I ate our weight in food while we were there. Polish dogs, spicy Italian sausage sandwiches, garlic fries, lemonades, margaritas, beers, a chocolate malt! The choices are endless!!!
On the walk to the stadium I saw these sea creatures that serve as skateboard grinding deterrents. I am sure they have a technical term but I choose to call them skateboard grinding deterrents.
At the stadium...

I FINALLY found my malt and it was good! Although I almost ditched it to get a hot fudge sundae. Seriously, I don't think we could have eaten any more food!
It was super hot that day and the evening was no different. We didn't need jackets and Chris was wearing shorts. I think the low was 72 degrees. Gotta love that! The moon provided us with a gorgeous view of the bay. The beautiful night was complete with a Giants win over the Reds!! The final score was 11-2!!!
Looking forward to another year of great discoveries and time spent with my family.

Great blog! I love all the photos!
Looks like Dommy didn't get the memo that went out to wear a black shirt. Hahahaha!
Dommy told his roommates he was going to wear an obnoxiously colored shirt in case he made it on camera. He definitely stood out!
Dommy is a dork but I love him anyway<3
Happy belated birthday! The pics are great and it looks like you enjoyed your weekend!!!!!
And I LOVE the blog layout. Super cute!
