Aarghh Mateys! Landon's birthday party was on Saturday and he requested a pirate party! We had a blast!!! Landon couldn't wait to get to his "ship" (this is what he calls the playground at the park we were going to) and was thrilled to have his friends come and join in the fun. The kids ran around in pirate hats (until they got too sweaty) and chased each other with swords. They had a visit from Captain Christie who made things even more thrilling by joining in on the swordplay and running the kids all around the park! They ate Unburied Treasure, Watermelon, and cupcakes with skulls and crossbones on them. There was even a spontaneous water fight with Papa!! I think the kids enjoyed soaking Papa as much as he enjoyed soaking them!!! Landon had a swash-buckling time at his party!

Sorry we could not make it, it sounds like you had a blast! Your invitations were SOO creative!!! Wish we could have been there.
