I learned something new about Landon this year. He likes to bake. I'm really sad to say that when the kids were little I was so concerned about them "making a mess" that I didn't do much baking with them. I wish had been less controlling & didn't stifle their creativity because I was afraid of a little mess.
Landon had been asking if we could make "the sugar cookies with the icing" & on a free afternoon I gathered the ingredients & he got to work.
Many people have said that Ashlyn looks just like me & Landon looks just like Chris. This is totally & completely true. Of course, then I see pictures like this with Landon sticking out his tongue in concentration & I think he actually looks a little bit like me. It's funny how our kids inherit our little mannerisms & quirks.
Landon did a great job. He rolled the dough evenly, cut out the cookies & then I gently transferred them to the cookie sheets. 
After they were finished cooling Ashlyn joined us to decorate the cookies...
I love standing back & watching them interact. They were laughing & joking around while decorating the cookies. They're not always this kind to each other so when they are I cherish it.
They did such a great job & I love how they turned out!
