Within a few days the surgeon called Jenny with very good news: All the cancer had been removed & no cancer cells were found in the lymph nodes! We were all thrilled that she would not need a third surgery! Her next course of treatment is radiation which will start on December 10th.
We are so thankful for the prayers of family & friends. It is amazing to have front row seats to God's awesome power in action. He is so kind & gracious to walk alongside Jenny & our family & comfort us as she went through not one, but two surgeries.
Some may ask why a God who is so good wouldn't just take away all of her cancer the first time around or why He caused her to have cancer in the first place. I know very well that God's thoughts are not our thoughts & His ways are not our ways. His ways are always higher than our own. Given the choice we would almost always choose the easy way out, never allowing suffering to affect us at all. But God uses each & every one of those difficulties & sufferings in our lives. Walking through trials produces endurance, character & hope. We can absolutely rely on & trust Him to go before us.
More than anything else I know that Jenny wanted to glorify God through her cancer. Maybe this whole trial was so that the works of God might be displayed in her.
Please continue to pray for Jenny as she continues treatment.
Please continue to pray for Jenny as she continues treatment.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge & my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
