fifth grade camp #2...

Chris and Landon survived fifth grade camp!  Actually, they more than survived.  They had a blast!

Chris was cabin leader to twelve boys!  He said they had a great group of boys. Maybe not the cleanest group, but still pretty good.  

They attended Walker Creek Ranch.  Each group had a nature guide who took them on hikes, and lead them in explorations.  

Landon got to hold a python.  If you will notice, this picture is obviously taken from very far away and zoomed in a lot.  Chris is not the biggest fan of snakes.

While the boys were away the girls got to play!  We did dinner and a movie one night, ate dinner together and talked a lot.  Oh, and I should also note that we didn't starve.  The day the boys left Ashlyn came home from school in a panic and exclaimed, "Daddy didn't go grocery shopping before he left.  We are going to STARVE!!"  I assured her that not only do I know the location of many grocery stores but I have also shopped in them many times before.  Chris may do all the shopping and cooking but I'm not helpless.  In fact, a little known fact about us...I used to do all the grocery shopping and cooking before Chris discovered his love of food and cooking.  I will admit that I do not love it.  I cook out of necessity.  You know, so I don't starve.  

The boys made it back on Friday in time for Landon's first baseball game of the season.  They won their game and Landon got to be the closing pitcher!  Also, doesn't Chris look younger with no beard?  Not that I have a preference one way or another...actually, no I won't miss the beard.  Not one bit!
