full moon...

Ever since I was a little girl I have loved gazing up at the stars and the moon.  I think that may be part of the reason that I love camping so much.  When you are far away from city lights the stars are so much more vibrant and clear.

Last week, Chris and I were camped out on the couch watching TV.  There was a full moon that night and the glowing celestial orb outside caught my eye.  I don't know about you, but when I see a full moon it almost seems other-worldly.  I never cease to be amazed.  It always makes me think of verses like...

Genesis 1:16-18 "God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.  God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good."

I got really antsy and literally couldn't sit still anymore.  I grabbed my camera and ran outside to get some pictures...

Truly amazing!

Psalm 8:3 "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him and the son of man that You care for him?"
