instafriday...

This week we have been catching up on all the things that we set aside while we were working on The Story.  photo2-7
It was amazing.  If you didn't get a chance to see it this year, don't worry!  The Story will be back next year!  Here are the last two weeks in cell phone pictures...

This was just a small part of our makeup team and the models for The Story piece, Out of the Tomb. (and in case you were wondering, yes, Jesus' eyes are painted on.)

This painting was painted by an artist named Ron DiCianni.  He came to see the show and we all got a chance to meet him.

One of the nights that Chris was at The Story, I decided to curl up on the couch in front of the Christmas tree to watch one of my favorite Christmas movies, The Holiday.

The mornings have been particularly cold recently.  The kids and Basil can usually be found crowded around one of the heater vents absorbing all the warmth.

While I was shopping last week I had a middle school flashback when I saw this...

I am pretty sure every girl I knew wore this perfume to school.  I actually feel sorry for the teachers because this stuff really does not smell good.  Especially, in mass quantities!

Target had one of the prettiest trees!  I considered coming home and rearranging all of my ornaments into separate colors.  Do you think anyone would notice??

Wrapping gifts is a whole lot easier when you don't have a dog who comes over and sits on the tissue paper while your back is turned...photo3-12

Finding beauty in unexpected places...

We had a chance to visit with Elease this week while she was visiting from Bakersfield.  We went for a twilight walk and got to view a beautiful Sacramento sunset...

Jenny has a small Christmasey reminder of Craig hanging in her house.  Makes me smile...

I love that Landon is still so cuddly and willing to give hugs.  I know that someday that will end so I am just soaking it all up while I can.  This particular day he cuddled up with Chris on the couch to watch some football...

Speaking of cuddly, how precious is this...

I am so thankful for the hope we have in Christ.  This verse was particularly powerful to me this week...

He is able to save completely.  What an amazing gift of grace.

The kids and I made Christmas cookies this week!  The kitchen was a MESS after.  It was worth it to see Ashlyn and Landon so excited.

We had another art lesson in Landon's class this week.  His teacher specifically requested an art project that had to do with gingerbread houses or Christmas lights.  Pinterest to the rescue!  The kids LOVED this project because they got to play with paint and the parents loved it because it was so festive and colorful and because the kids used their thumbprints to make the Christmas lights...

That was our week!  Hope yours was great!  Happy weekend!
