Little bump

Well, Basil had an interesting week. During her first trip to the vet for a check-up the vet found a pea-sized massive growth tumor on her side. Boxers are prone to tumors so we were advised to have the lump removed.

Basil had surgery on Thursday and they made a four inch incision on her side to make sure the tumor hadn't spread to the surrounding tissue. They are going to test the lump to see if it is cancerous.

They put Basil in a green and white gauze and medical tape wrap. She figured out really fast that if she rubbed up against something that it would pull the bandage off. Smart girl! I had to take her back in to get a new wrap and this time they were able to fashion something

that she couldn't get out of.

My mom said she looked like a giant burrito. Chris didn't care if she looked like a burrito or not - he just wanted to know why he had a dog that looked like a USC fan! Being a lifelong Cal fan this was NOT acceptable!

Our girl is recovering well despite not being able to go on walks for 9 days. She is relaxing at home and getting lots of love from her family!

When do you find out if it is cancerous or not?
