On August 27th Landon turned 4 years old!! I can not believe my baby is 4! We took him out to breakfast on the day of his birthday. We hardly ever eat breakfast out of the house so this was a special treat for the kids.
On Saturday Landon had his first all boy party. This year we had a Firefighter themed birthday party. All the boys got fire hats to wear and were encouraged to wear their fire gear. Of course, the day was MUCH hotter than we anticipated so no one stayed in their gear for long. The boys had a lot of fun playing in the yard and eating the fire truck cake that Memejo made for Landon. A little tip for anyone planning a boys party - don't bother planning games. Boys are not interested in games or any of that kind of nonsense! They are much more interested in being boys.
After the boys ate their cake and Landon opened his presents we headed off to the fire station to see some real fire fighters and a fire truck. We went to station number 5 in Pleasant Hill and we made sure to bring the fire fighters ice cream and brownies to thank them for showing us around the station. The kids got to meet the fire fighters, got to climb in the truck, check out the fire station and ask questions. They had a really great time.
When we got home from the station Landon got his present from Daddy and Mommy. A bike! I was able to capture his face when he saw Daddy bringing his bike out. He was so happy!
Overall he had a great 4th birthday!
