Husband of the Year!

The other day I was thinking about how blessed I am to have such a wonderful husband. He is such a loyal guy who loves our kids and me unconditionally. He works hard every day and still comes home and enjoys cooking dinner for our family. I know - how great is that?! He LOVES doing it! Who am I to rob him of that joy?! ;)

Also, earlier this week my cell phone took a little swim in the toilet while I was cleaning the bathroom. I freaked out since losing my cell phone was like losing an appendage! Chris helped calm me down (not an easy thing to do!) and worked out a deal with Verizon so I could get a new phone and we wouldn't have to pay a fortune! This isn't always an easy job when you don't have insurance on your phone (something we have since remedied due to the fact that I am an accident waiting to happen).

All joking aside, Chris is an extremely caring and compassionate person. Recently I have had some frustrations with the side effects from my epilepsy medication and he sits and listens to me vent about everything that I am going through. He doesn't try to fix everything, he just listens and talks with me to let me know that he cares about what I am going through. He puts up with me when I break down and I appreciate him for everything that he does for me.

Chris is great with Ashlyn and Landon too. They love to play with him. Ashlyn plays with him and reads to him from her Dr. Seuss books (a love they both share). Landon plays cars with him and Chris has shown him how to set up Jenga blocks like dominoes. They love to watch them fall down! He is a great dad and it is great to see how much the kids love being with him.

I believe it is important to tell someone how important they are to you. Chris knows how thankful I am to have him in my life. Unfortunately, sometimes we get too caught up in everyday life and don't remember to tell people how important they are and what they mean to us. So if you get a chance, tell someone how much they mean to you today!
