Busy, busy, busy....

Goodness! I didn't realize it has almost been a month since I have posted anything! We have been very busy here with the last weeks of school before winter break, Christmas preparations, practices for the Christmas program at church, birthday parties with friends and just life all together!

Ashlyn and Landon are a little bummed that they are not able to go to school for the next couple of weeks. Ashlyn has been doing wonderfully in school. I went to her first parent/teacher conference on Friday and the teacher said she was doing outstanding. She got all 3's and 4's (out of 4) and E's (for Excellent) and S's (for Satisfactory). Her teacher said she is excited to have Ashlyn in her class and that she is a very sweet girl and extremely helpful. I was so thrilled to hear that! Proud Mommy moment!!

Landon got to have a pajama movie day on his last day of class. He was very excited about this. They watched Frosty the Snowman. He is telling everyone about how Frosty melted "cuz he got too hot".

The kids were very excited to get our Christmas tree this year. Maybe a bit too excited to do the actual decorating. It was almost a race to get to the ornaments before they did. We only had two ornament casualties and I believe those can be fixed with a little super glue. After a few fights with the tree and the tree stand (we won!) the tree is standing!

I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas! Remember that its not about how many presents we get, or how many we give, not who is with us to celebrate or who isn't with us - the reason we celebrate Christmas is because Christ was born. He came to this earth, born of a virgin so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. Not only was he born but he died so that we could have forgiveness from our sins. He brings great joy to the world! So remember Him when you celebrate! Merry Christmas!
