Pepper in quarantine...

I'm sure all the pets around the world are thrilled to have their people home all day every day. Pepper is living her best life during this shelter-in-place.

She sleeps in, cuddled up next to me & when I get up to go work out she sneaks into Landon's room & curls up on his bed until it's time for her to eat breakfast.

She joins me outside in the backyard every morning while I do my Bible study & practices the opposite of social distancing.

Including finishing off my coffee when I'm not looking...

She can often be found resting on the back of the couch in between barking at squirrels, delivery people & the occasional passerby.

Sometimes she will go outside & sit in the sun, wherever that may be...and then cry at the windows when she decides she has been separated from us long enough.

Chris recently put up our hammock & Pepper can often now be found sitting with (or on) whoever is relaxing in the hammock...

She is an active participant in our movie nights, watching more intently than some of the other members of our family who shall remain nameless. One night The Wizard of Oz was on tv & she was riveted. We determined that she did not like Glinda in her magic floating bubble, Toto, Scarecrow, Tinman or Lion. Oddly she was not concerned about the flying monkeys who, in my opinion, are way creepier than any of the previously mentioned characters.

It's not all relaxing though. We have never been able to say the word "walk" without her running into the room & excitedly anticipate when we were going to leash her up & head out. These days every word that even remotely sounds like "walk" has her undivided attention.
She's a pretty smart dog & when we are playing I can tell her to go get a specific toy by name & she will find it. Never a dull moment...

She is loving every minute of having her people all to herself but is probably longing for the day that she can enjoy the visitors who obviously come over just to see her.
