Hectic

I think God is trying to teach patience to me today.  Actually, if I was really being honest with myself I would admit he has been giving me a lesson in patience and trust all week!  Chris was out of town on a business trip all week and believe me...he was missed!

Valentine's Day
The kids woke up early on Monday morning despite having the day off from school.  Probably still hopped up on the sugar they had at their Valentine's parties the previous Friday.

I made a special Valentine's breakfast for them complete with red oatmeal and red hot chocolate...

I think they enjoyed it

Waters...
In complete contrast to last week's too-hot-to-be-February weather this week it is cold and rainy.

Sitting inside with a hot cup of tea and wrapped in a sea of blankets is where I long to be the most.  But the daily routine requires venturing out in the rain and so we do.  Layer upon layer of warm clothes and jackets topped off with an umbrella and we are ready to go.  However, little boys feel the temptation to jump in every puddle from the car to the school and unless I decided to dress like this my layers are inevitably going to get soaked.

After school is a different story.  We finish up homework and make forts.

The fort serves as anything from a pirate cave to a tent in the wilderness.  Giggles are of course included in the building of every fort...

Brighter Days
The kids are looking forward to more sunshine and opportunities to do a little more of this...

Have a happy weekend!
